The boss is breathing down your neck and wants the job done. You’ve been asked to check a row of CCTV cameras. The cable connecting them is broken somewhere along the line. A ladder is probably ideal for this. But sometimes it isn’t a good idea to use a ladder.
Ladders have their place. For short term work like this, they are ideal.
But at times when you’re going to be up the ladder for a period of time, say longer than 30 minutes, then you’d be better off using a podium or tower.
You may not have one of these in the back of your van, so you continue with your ladder – and this is where the risk of accidents greatly increases.
When we pick the wrong tool for the job, we make compromises that in this case can lead to serious injury.
Meet the X-Tower. A completely self contained, telescopic tower system that one man can assemble, and it fits inside a small utility van or pick up.
All the parts are contained within the system, which means there are no loose parts to lose or forget on site.
By enabling the tower to be built from standing on the ground, risk to injury is further reduced.
Training is essential to help you and your operators mitigate risk and understand the best product to use for a particular job.
